Personal Health Standards
P’s & Q’s Staffing prioritizes the health and well-being of children and staff. All contractors are required to meet stringent health standards to ensure a safe and secure environment. Contractors must certify that they are free of infectious or contagious diseases and are physically fit to fulfill their duties in childcare settings. This guarantees compliance with health regulations and promotes the well-being of all involved.
Key Legal and Professional Requirements
Independent Contractor Status
As an independent contractor, you have the flexibility to:
Accept or decline assignments based on availability.
Manage your own schedule and responsibilities without the constraints of traditional employment.
Tax Responsibilities:
Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, including Social Security and Medicare contributions, which total 15.3%.
P’s & Q’s Staffing will issue a 1099 form if annual earnings exceed $600.
Confidentiality: Contractors are required to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary information and client details. Sharing sensitive information about client centers is strictly prohibited.
Dress Code: To maintain professionalism, contractors must wear:
Khaki pants.
A white polo-style shirt.
Closed-toe shoes. Non-compliance may result in being sent home without compensation.
Professional Responsibilities
Reporting and Communication
Contractors must provide weekly updates regarding their availability.
Timely communication ensures efficient assignment scheduling and service delivery.
Behavioral Standards
Adherence to company policies, including professional conduct and behavior, is mandatory.
Any violations may result in dismissal.
Permanent Placement and Agreements
Permanent Employment with Clients
Contractors must notify P’s & Q’s immediately if they accept a permanent position with a client.
Direct employment with a client is not permitted within 90 days of leaving P’s & Q’s Staffing unless otherwise agreed.
Health and Safety Guidelines
Training and Certifications
To ensure readiness for childcare assignments, all contractors must complete:
Health and Safety Training through Bright from the Start.
First Aid and CPR Certification.
Fingerprinting and background checks via the Field Print website.
TB Testing
A negative TB test result is required to comply with health regulations.
Incident Reporting
Contractors are obligated to report any suspected child abuse, communicable diseases, or other serious incidents to both P’s & Q’s Staffing and the client center promptly.
Support and Development for Contractors
Ongoing Training and Resources
Access to training materials and resources is provided to enhance skills and knowledge in childcare best practices.
Regular feedback ensures contractors can meet client expectations effectively.
Commitment to Safety
Routine policy reviews and health checks maintain high-quality standards.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of children and contractors is a top priority.
Waiver of Benefits
Contractors acknowledge that:
They are not eligible for benefits provided by P’s & Q’s Staffing or its clients.
Future claims to employee benefits are waived in alignment with the independent contractor agreement.
